Hi, I’m Charlene! I’m a Glasgow-based marketing freelancer. I work with small businesses connect with audiences that convert.

During my Master’s in Communications and Journalism, I discovered a love for visual storytelling, the perfect partner to my lifelong passion for writing.

It turns out the skills needed to understand what makes a story interesting aren’t all that different from those needed to uncover what makes a business special. Both begin with curiosity: asking the right questions, understanding what matters and figuring out how to tell a story in a way that captures attention in a world where there’s much less of it to go around.​

Okay, yes, there’s a little more to it than telling a story, but I spend a lot of free time playing sudoku – so I know a little about numbers and strategy too.

Incase that was unconvincing, I spent years managing campaigns and teams across marketing roles in hospitality, events and healthcare. Eventually, I decided it was time to build something for myself, using the same skills I’d used for years to help other businesses grow.

My goal is to help the small businesses, events, people and ideas that are the fabric of our communities
